With the Nintendo 2DS title, the franchise added major games like Animal Crossing, Mario Kart 7, The Legend Of Zelda, and many more. Over time, however, fans moved on to better consoles and upgraded their Nintendo products to the latest.

But that doesn’t mean all fans give away their old consoles, as they consider them an important part of their lives. They appreciate the products, presenting them in different instances of life. Such has been the case with avid Nintendo user Lucas, who introduced his 2DS in a Twitter post. He didn’t just feature the console in the post, though, as fans noticed a massive mention of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

She passed away at the age of 96, leaving behind the prestigious throne in the hands of King Carlos III. So, to honor her, the UK government announced seven days of mourning right after her funeral. After all, they lost the most powerful monarch of hers.

During this time, a Nintendo fan jumped at the perfect opportunity to create the perfect mod. He featured the former UK queen on his Nintendo 2DS system and posted the same on her Twitter account. He posted a picture of himself showing an important message on his screen. “Queen Elizabeth II – 1926 – 2022, this device is not available during the royal period of mourning and will remain until Monday 19th September.”
