Single window panel clears 10 projects worth over Rs 1,900 crore- The New Indian Express

BHUBANESWAR: The State Level Single Window Approval Authority (SLSWCA) on Friday approved 10 industrial projects worth Rs 1,923.6 crore with employment potential for 5,170 people. The projects approved at the meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra belonged to various sectors such as power and renewables, chemicals, information technology and electronic systems design and manufacturing (IT and ESDM), food processing, petroleum and gas, metal downstream, textiles, tourism and infrastructure.

SLSWCA approved Luminous Power Technologies Private Limited’s proposal to establish a fuel cell manufacturing unit of new technology green cells, advanced chemical cells (ACC batteries), energy storage and solar batteries at Angul Aluminum Park with a proposed investment of `481 million rupees with employment potential for 1,150 people.

The committee approved Silox India Private Limited’s proposal to establish a chemical manufacturing unit in the Paradeep industrial area. The unit is being installed with an investment of Rs 500 million and is expected to create employment opportunities for more than 800 people. The panel also approved Happiest Minds Technologies Limited’s Rs 265 crore investment proposal to establish a software development center facility offering IT services at O-Hub in Info-valley SEZ, Bhubaneswar. The project is expected to create more than 1,500 highly skilled job opportunities in the state.

MGM Resorts Private Limited’s proposal to establish a five-star hotel with an investment of Rs 180 million in the new seaway at Puri has been approved. Oil India Limited has proposed oil and gas exploration units with an installed capacity of 10 kiloliters per day each at Astaranga in Puri and Patkura in Kendrapara district. Oil India Limited will invest more than Rs 108 crore in the state creating employment opportunities for more than 115 people in the projects.

The Rs 150 million aquaculture feed manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 180,000 tonnes proposed by IFB Agro Industries Limited was approved. The project will be established at Somanathpur Industrial Estate, Balasore, with an estimated employment potential of over 270. Other proposals include a manufacturing unit by Offshore Infrastructures Limited at Sainkul in Keonjhar, a latex and chipboard foam unit by Mehan Industries Pvt Ltd, a logistics park in Khurda and an agricultural unit of Jaybalajee Agro Products Private Limited.
