Schneider Electric Telangana: Schneider Electric lays foundation for new smart factory in Telangana, to invest Rs 300 crore

Hyderabad: Schneider Electric, on Thursday, hosted the groundbreaking ceremony for its next state-of-the-art smart factory at the GMR Industrial Park in Hyderabad. The event was attended by KT Rama Rao, Minister for IT, Industries, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Telangana, Emmanuel Lenain, French Ambassador to India, and Jayesh Ranjan, Chief Secretary to the Government. of Telangana, Department of Industries and Commerce.

Spread across 18 acres, the upcoming unit will be the company’s second factory in Telangana, and will serve as a harbinger of growth while building resilience in supply chain operations. The new facility will be developed in two phases. The first phase with a facility area of ​​2 lakh square feet is expected to be completed in September 2023.

KT Rama Rao at the ceremony said: “I congratulate Schneider Electric on this momentous occasion. The upcoming smart factory will greatly contribute to the state’s economy, which is reinforcing its position as a leading investment hotbed. Speaking at the ceremony, Lenain said: “This factory will be a demonstration of how cutting-edge technology can support sustainable manufacturing and job creation. It is also emblematic of the economic dynamism and attractiveness of Telangana for French businesses. Schneider Electric’s decades-long presence in India is a success story that reflects the strength of the Indo-French partnership and France’s commitment to helping India achieve its sustainable development goals.”
