Wunderman Thompson Commerce Supports Delivery of Unbound Group’s New Multi-Brand Retail Platform

Wunderman Thompson Commerce, the world’s leading digital agency, today announces the launch of a new multi-brand platform curated for Unbound Group PLC. Working closely with the Unbound Group, Wunderman Thompson Commerce has helped define, plan and deliver the project, including the technical implementation of the new platform and integration into their ERP. To deliver this project, Wunderman Thompson Commerce worked closely with Mirakl, the leading global marketplace solutions provider powering the Unbound Group platform.

Unbound Group is the parent company of a group that sells a variety of brands focused on the 55+ demographic. Building on its current core business, Hotter Shoes, Unbound Group will increase value through its curated multi-brand retail platform that supports the active lifestyle of the 55+ demographic with a range of products and services. All relationships with partner brands are designed to be light on capital, operating a direct delivery model with a fixed percentage commission payable on each sale. After a successful initial launch in July with partner brands in complementary specialty footwear categories, the platform’s Autumn Winter launch is on track to be completed this month as the Group continues to expand its offering across apparel and other clothing categories. specialized footwear. Wunderman Thompson Commerce used the existing Hotter eCommerce platform built on top of HCL Commerce to power the Unbound Group platform. It was built using an extended store with a cloud integration layer that communicates with the Mirakl Marketplace platform, used to upload products from various third-party sellers. Working with Hotter and ProNavision, Wunderman Thompson Commerce provided the necessary program management services to ensure the smooth delivery of the interface to Navision, which fulfills and manages Hotter’s orders. In addition, they also implemented a Business Central instance to handle the financial and administrative functions of Mirakl vendor products and the production of new sources for Business Intelligence reports.

An end-to-end design system, previously created by Wunderman Thompson Commerce to update Hotter Shoes’ new brand identity, was also used to provide the Unbound Group with an enhanced customer experience, offering consistency, speed to market and site building efficiency. . Wunderman Thompson Commerce was also responsible for testing the end-to-end solution and developing a comprehensive test strategy encompassing the entire Mirakl, Commerce and ERP solution.
