Grabango, Compass Group, AiFi and CellPoint Digital are among the nominees in the Payments category at the 2022 RTIH Innovation Awards.
This award, sponsored by FreedomPayrecognizes payment initiatives that are both innovative and customer and retailer friendly.

The Brand Experience Lab (BEL) smart kiosk is powered by computer vision and artificial intelligence that accurately tracks product and process selections.
Customers open the door by scanning a QR through the smart kiosk app that has their payment information.
They can then start searching and selecting products. Once the door closes, the purchase is complete and the selected items are reflected in the app. The app also gives retailers the ability to track customer activity and send push notifications with special offers.
CellPoint Digital is a specialist in payment orchestration worldwide. With its Velocity platform, the company’s mission is to increase the competitiveness of its retail customers by turning payments from a cost into a driver of profit.
Compass Group UK&I has unveiled its first completely friction-free store.
Unveiled for the first time not just in the UK, but across the foodservice sector in Europe, the store uses AI-powered machine vision technology from AiFi, allowing shoppers to purchase items without having to wait in line. the line or stop to scan or pay.
Grabango is a leading provider of cashless technology for existing large-scale chain stores.
To get started, shoppers download the free Grabango app available for iPhone and Android, select the items they want, and walk out of the store. Payment is automatic and contactless, saving additional time for the buyer.
The system uses machine learning and computer vision algorithms, running on fault-tolerant edge computing hardware, to deliver high-precision results at low cost.
Grabango’s technology integrates with partners’ existing stores and payment systems, providing the ability to utilize promotional offers and contribute to customer loyalty points and rewards programs.
Medicare health plans offer their members a variety of supplemental benefits that are delivered through prepaid benefit cards.
However, each offering has traditionally required its own card, an arrangement that can confuse plan members trying to access multiple benefits or determine which retailers will accept plan funds as payment for over-the-counter drugs, health and wellness products, and more.
To eliminate this challenge and streamline acceptance of supplemental health plan benefits at retail, InComm Healthcare has developed the Dual Network Benefits Card.
