EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Newly single Jerry Hall eyes up £6million property in Tinseltown

Some women can perk up after a sad divorce by spending on an expensive pair of shoes or a designer bag.

With a £250million divorce settlement burning a hole in his pocket, Jerry Hall has bigger ambitions.

I hear the Texan model, and now ex-Mrs. Rupert Murdoch, has been looking at properties in Tinseltown.

Hall, 66, was seen looking at empty stores in West Hollywood. Dressed in a baby blue sweater with navy trousers and carrying a tan tote bag, the ex of Rolling Stones singer Sir Mick Jagger is photographed inspecting a former antiques showroom, on the market for around £ 6 millions.

Hall, wearing a pair of brown sunglasses, admired the 6,000-square-foot site from the outside, peering through the windows and snapping a few photos on her phone. He then wrote down the details of the estate agent in charge of the property before he left.

The building was the main showroom for John Nelson Antiques, which was founded in 1965. The property was put up for sale earlier this year.

The firm sold high-end European antiques, chandeliers and accessories throughout the world. It’s unclear why Hall would be interested in buying commercial property. His spokeswoman declined to comment.

Hall, who has four children from a 23-year relationship with Jagger, split from Murdoch, 91, after he ended their marriage via email in June.

She filed for divorce in July in Los Angeles, and Murdoch received the documents while boarding a plane in the UK after attending his granddaughter’s wedding.

A deal was quickly reached and announced last month.

A joint statement confirmed the divorce, saying: “They remain good friends and wish each other well for the future.”

Hall was first seen with Murdoch in 2015 and the couple married in Fleet Street, London, in 2016.

The divorce settlement is believed to have awarded her two houses and up to £250m, according to sources. However, experts close to the four-times-married Murdoch insist the figure is closer to £50m.

Hall looked in good spirits last month when he touched down in Los Angeles from Farnborough in Hampshire with his daughter Georgia May Jagger, 30. They appeared to disembark from Murdoch’s Gulfstream jet, suggesting the pair remain on friendly terms.

Brian May relives his royal high-anxiety day

Queen guitarist Brian May recalls being terrified when he played God Save The Queen’s solo live on the roof of Buckingham Palace during the Queen’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, and breaking royal protocol when she didn’t he recognized it.

“It was very, very scary,” he admits of the live televised performance in 2002. “[I thought] If I screw up God Save The Queen in front of a billion people [on TV]that will be what I am [remembered] For the rest of my life, the guy who made a mistake.

Fortunately, he didn’t, and a few weeks later he was introduced to the monarch along with fellow guitar legends Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck.

‘There was a silence. And, of course, the protocol says that you’re not allowed to start a conversation with the monarch, but I thought, someone has to say something.

‘So I said, ‘Very happy to meet you ma’am, I’m the guy who was standing on your roof.’ And she said, ‘Oh, that was you, right?’ ‘

However, His Majesty invited him to his Platinum Jubilee party.

TV adventurer hit by a scooter on vacation

He has walked along the Nile and the Himalayas, and integrated with Iraqi troops fighting ISIS, but Levison Wood has been defeated by a scooter.

I heard that the 40-year-old TV adventurer is recovering after being seriously injured in a traffic accident abroad.

“Second time in emergency care this year, and not how I expected to end a vacation in Greece,” laments the former army officer. ‘Still, it could have been a lot worse, so I’m thankful for that, at least.

Fractured tibia and ankle, which required a major operation, so that will be my third metal-filled limb. Stay away from scooters on vacation, kids.

Dashing Wood told me a while back that he was struggling in the daunting world of contemporary dating. He added, “I’m looking for a woman with a sense of adventure and a sense of fun, I’m not shallow.”

We never hear this in public, but the Queen was a talented impressionist.

Sir William Heseltine, her longtime private secretary, says that she was “an excellent imitator”.

He did impressions of everyone from former Russian President Boris Yeltsin to the Middlesbrough-accented chambermaid who discovered intruder Michael Fagan in the royal bedchamber in 1982: ‘Ooh, bloody madam, what are you doing here?’

Surprise princess for PM

As an MP and, until last week, a minister, Greg Hands has visited many schools.

Each time, at least one child asked him if he had met the Queen. “Once, I turned the tables and asked the class if any of them had met the Queen,” he reveals.

They all raised their hands. I didn’t realize until long after that Princess Charlotte was in the class.

The seven-year-old was a student at Thomas’s School in Battersea, London, before starting at Lambrook Preparatory School in Berkshire last week.

Oscar winner Ben Kingsley is playing Salvador Dali in a new movie, and from what I hear, the movie was already in trouble even before it was released.

The creators of Daliland, which opens this week, are being threatened with legal action by the Gala-Salvador Dali Foundation for its historical accuracy.

A spokesperson for the filmmakers insists they don’t need to talk to anyone as it “doesn’t incorporate any copyrighted material.”
