Bodo, the e-commerce delivery platform, plans to transform the industry with sustainable, customer-focused 1-hour, same-day delivery. With nearly half (46%) of consumers abandoning their shopping carts if delivery waits are too long, bodo is addressing this issue for brands with its checkout plugin. It enables companies to better serve their customers, while also addressing consumers’ growing environmental concerns about how their products are delivered.
Following the successful launch of the platform in January, Bodo is announcing its $2.3M seed round. The round was led by BAM companies, along with angels such as Sweetgreen founder and CEO Jonathan Neman, serial investor Kal Vepuri, and Jon Shokrian, MeUndies founder and CEO. Business advisers include Sumesh Rahavendra, formerly a DHL executive and general manager of Amazon Spain and Germany, and Cameron Roberts, commercial director of Nando’s Group.

The funds will be used to broaden bodo’s technology offering and expand its network of micro-fulfillment centers in major cities, enabling the platform to serve a larger customer community and broaden its brand partnerships.
Founders Jack Green and Brandon Neman are experts in the delivery technology industry and were the first employees at former Uber founder Travis Kalanick’s CloudKitchens, helping to scale the business from Los Angeles to many international markets. Jack also brings his experience at Deliveroo, where he worked on business strategy and data science.
“You can think of bodo as Amazon Prime for direct-to-consumer brands,” said Jack Green, co-founder. “Ecommerce brands spend so much time and effort building their native channel that bodo enables them to offer a fast and sustainable delivery experience without sacrificing crucial customer data and control from Amazon or an equivalent marketplace.”
“The current delivery system doesn’t work for both brands and their consumers,” said Brian Lee, BAM Ventures, co-founder of LegalZoom and The Honest Company. “BAM invested in Bodo because it has the potential to solve ‘last mile’ challenges by bringing companies closer to their customers and providing them with a fast and sustainable delivery option”
With 51% of consumers aware of the environmental impact of e-commerce, Bodo operates a network of micro-fulfillment centers that stock products in dense neighborhoods, enabling fast and sustainable deliveries. It is setting new standards for on-demand delivery in response to growing environmental awareness and is working with Stuart, the first green delivery partner, to bring customers their products in a guilt-free 1-hour or same-day delivery experience. .
Bodo offers a simple integration plugin for ecommerce platforms including Shopify, Salesforce, WooCommerce, Magento, and others. They are currently working with mission-aligned brands, including market-leading CBD brand TRIP, low-alcohol beer Lucky Saint, celebrity favorite AU Vodka, Beavertown, and popular sustainable toothbrush brand SURI. , as well as clothing brands such as Underdays and Madhappy.
