Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India]Oct 7 (ANI) : The Adani Group will invest Rs 65,000 crore in Rajasthan over the next 5-7 years to establish a 10,000 MW mega solar power capacity and create more than 40,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Speaking at the opening session of the Invest Rajasthan Summit 2022 in Jaipur on Friday, Adani Group Chairman said, “Combining all ongoing and future investments, we anticipate investing an additional Rs 65 000 crore in Rajasthan over the next 5-7 years and create more than 40,000 direct and indirect jobs”.
Many captains of industry, such as Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, Tata Power CEO and MD Praveer Sinha, DCM Shriram CMD Ajay S Shriram and ArcelorMittal Chairman and CEO, Lakshmi Mittal, were present during the inauguration.
“We will fully cooperate in building a cricket stadium in Udaipur. We also discussed which districts in the state do not have a medical college and how we can help the state in this direction,” said Gautam Adani.
“While we already have three cement plants and limestone mining assets, a significant part of our capacity expansion will continue to occur in Rajasthan. We anticipate investing a further Rs 7 billion to double our cement manufacturing capacity in the state.” , said.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday announced the creation of the Rajasthan Industrial Security Force (RISF) as the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in the state to provide a conducive and safe environment for industries.
“A security force will be created along the lines of CISF. Like CISF, RISF will be created in the state of Rajasthan to provide an enabling and secure environment for industries,” Gehlot said while opening the two-day ‘Invest Rajasthan Summit- 2022’.
The Chief Minister also reported that under the proposed budget for the current year, provisions of Rs 250-250 crore have been made to develop a multi-storey industrial complex in Greater Bhiwadi and Boronada in Jodhpur. “This will benefit the state’s manufacturing and service sector units.”
Hosted by the Government of Rajasthan, the first day of the summit kicked off with a grand opening ceremony attended by luminaries from the most prestigious corporate groups from around the world, including Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO and Managing Director of The Tata Power Company Limited; Dr. Anish Shah, Managing Director and CEO, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd; B Santhanam, CEO, Asia Pacific & India Region and President, Saint-Gobain India; Ajay S Shriram, President and Senior General Manager, DCM Shriram Limited; CK Birla, President of National Engineering Industries Ltd; Sudhir Mehta President, Torrent Group; Anil Agarwal, President of the Vedanta Group; and Gautam Adani, founder and chairman of the Adani Group.
